Whistleblowing

The whistleblowing feature on this page gives you the opportunity to report information about a crime or legal violation, a threat or harm of public interest, an offence or an attempt to conceal an offence against applicable law or regulation, or a breach of the Group’s Code of Conduct.

If you are a customer of BNP Paribas Cardif and wish to file a complaint or have your claim re‑examined, you should not use the whistle‑blowing feature. Instead, you can read more on our “if you are not satisfied” page.

Whistleblowing Feature
BNP Paribas Cardif is obliged to strictly comply with laws and regulations and to follow the Group’s Code of Conduct.

Whistleblowing reports are handled by independent experts in a confidential manner and in accordance with applicable law. Whistleblowers are protected from retaliation as provided by the relevant legislation. Any misuse of the whistleblowing system may expose the reporting person to disciplinary sanctions or prosecution.

The “Professional Ethics” department, which belongs to the compliance function, is responsible for BNP Paribas Cardif’s whistleblowing feature.

You can submit a report to the Whistleblowing function via: Online or by phone: EthicsPoint – XX.

You may also request a personal meeting through the above channel. To ensure your anonymity, please note that you should call from a blocked number.

Reporting to the Competent Authority
It is also possible to whistleblow externally to the responsible authority. To obtain protection, you must first have made an internal report that has not resulted in reasonable follow‑up actions, or you have not received feedback or adequate follow‑up within a reasonable time.

Protection may also apply if you have reasonable grounds to believe that misconduct poses an imminent or obvious danger to life, health, safety, or a risk of significant environmental damage, or if you have reason to believe that an internal report would expose you to retaliation or would unlikely lead to an effective remedy.

For BNP Paribas Cardif, the relevant authority for external reporting is the Financial Supervisory Authority in Norway, Finanstilsynet.

Whistleblower | Finanstilsynet
When reporting externally to the Financial Supervisory Authority, Finanstilsynet, protection is maintained in accordance with the applicable regulations (see, for example, the Working Environment Act link. The scope of the Financial Supervisory Authority’s confidentiality in a whistle‑blowing case depends on the subject of the report.

An example of other authorities that provide external whistle‑blowing channels is the Labor Inspection Authority (link).

Please refer to the relevant authorities’ websites for more information.
